Synthetic gut is made of nylon. Nylon=plastic. Plastic ≠ gut. Gut is made of stretchy cow intestine. Plastic doesn’t stretch. So is synthetic gut a “synthetic gut”? You be the judge. But the string (whatever you want to call it) is still and good for control. Some are manufactured with additional materials which make them even stiffer. So they have even MORE control. A really stiff string isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but it does offer some interesting hybrid possibilities.
