Iga Swiatek has a game like no other. Wait. Yes she does. She’s a huge fan of Rafa and modeled her entire game after his… she swings BIG on EVERY ball. For that type of play, you almost have to use poly to keep the ball in the court. However, poly is famous for it’s short lifespan. And if you’ve ever played with poly, you probably hate it when they bag out in the middle of a match. So I set out to create a hybrid that gives you as much as Iga leaves on the court. And for the entire match.

In the mains I’ve put the second stiffest nylon I’ve ever tested (the stiffest one I’ve tested I’ve put in Stan-the-Man). It really simulates that freshly strung poly string bed. But because it’s nylon, it doesn’t lose tension as quickly as poly and gradually loses playability and doesn’t go south on you in the middle of a point.

Isospeed Cream (yes that’s the name of the string) is probably one of my favorite co-polys because it is one of the softer co-polys (has about the stiffness of a “synthetic gut”-which is actually pretty soft for a co-poly) out there AND holds tension extremely well (polys are famous for losing tension in just a few days). Cream also works extremely well as a cross string. One of the best softer co-polys in my option.

Even reversing the hybrid works extremely well as some people prefer the co-poly in the mains. But it won’t be as powerful without the synthetic in the mains

  • string at the same tension as your poly – mid to lower tension range
  • maintains tension extremely well
  • has slightly more longevity than a full bed of poly
  • first hit will be a little stiff but will stabilize by the 2nd
